I. Eligibility

1. Applicants must be in good health both mentally and physically.

2. Applicants must be citizens of countries other than the People's Republic of China, and the conditions set by the Document No.12(2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC should be met.

Note: If the applicant is confirmed to have Chinese nationality by the Chinese public security organs after application, admission, and registration, CIE reserves the right to withdraw the applicant.

3. Applicants must hold a high school's diploma.

4. Applicants must be under the age of 30 (HIT Scholarship applicants must be under the age of 25).

5. Language proficiency standards:

Chinese-taught programs：

HSK level 4≥210 scores (valid for two years).

If the language of instruction in the previous degree is Chinese, the applicant can provide the Chinese language instruction certificate issued by the previous institution.

No requirement for applicants' English proficiency.

English-taught programs:

TOEFL≥80 scores, academic IELTS≥6.0 (no subtest lower than 5.5).

If the language of instruction in the previous degree is English, the applicant can provide the English language instruction certificate issued by the previous degree institution.

No requirement for applicants' Chinese proficiency.

II. Application Documents

The application documents in other languages must be notarized in either English or Chinese.

2. Passport homepage.

3. Senior high school diploma (the expected graduation certificate is acceptable; the original graduation certificate must be submitted at the time of registration).

4. High school transcripts.

5. Language proficiency certificates.

Note: Applicants who apply for Chinese Language and Literature do not need to provide language qualification certificates.

6. Physical Examination Record for Foreigners (valid within six months). The physical examination must cover all the items listed in the examination form. Incomplete records or those without the attending physician's signature, the hospital's official stamp, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are invalid.

7. Non-criminal record report (usually issued within six months before the application submission date).

8. Curriculum Vitae and personal introduction video.

9. Remittance voucher of application fee for self-financed students(CNY 400/USD 60)

Note: Failure to pay the application fee or failure to indicate the applicant's passport number at the time of transfer will be considered invalid.

10. Certificate of deposit (at least CNY20,000 or equivalent foreign currency).

11. Proof of outstanding academic achievements, sports, art, cultural exchanges, public welfare activities, etc. (optional).

VII. Teaching Language

All bachelor's degree programs are taught in Chinese.

Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Artificial Intelligence can be taught in English.
